Meet the Providers

The therapeutic journey is one that requires commitment and a bond that leads to trust and understanding. My goal is to provide each individual I serve an environment that is safe and confidential to share their story and true self. I use a person-centered, strength-based approach that puts you in the driver seat of your own treatment and I am the facilitator guiding you through each step. I believe that the feelings we experience (sadness, anger, fear, frustration, etc.) can be linked back to a root cause that needs to be addressed. I help you uncover, address, and cope with those circumstances.

Joshua Everett, PhD, LPCS

I have a Doctorate of Philosophy in Psychology from Capella University, a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Louisiana State University, and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. I currently hold license to practice in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and Wisconsin.

I grew up in Laurel, Mississippi but have a love of traveling. I grew up in the back woods of Jones County spending time outdoors and fishing. I continue to enjoy those things but also work on cars, garden, and love to cook. I always tell my patients “I am not the professional that is going to say “how does that make you feel”, I am the one that is going to push you to understand yourself better by being blunt”

I listen with intention, respond with compassion, and provide care that honors each person’s story, dignity, and strength.
My purpose is to stand with each patient I encounter, to respect their lived experience, and to support them as they pursue wellness. I strive to help each patient achieve meaningful, attainable goals that foster growth, independence, and the best possible quality of life.
I don’t just manage symptoms—I help patients reclaim their lives. We will work together as a team—understanding challenges, building trust, and moving toward positive, meaningful growth.
